Shining the Stolpersteine for their grandparents: the Moritz family visits Munich

Maximilian Moritz – one of the leading figures in post- World War I’s judiciary in Bavaria – and a leader of Munich’s Jewish community.

Maximilian and Hermine Moritz: murdered in 1942.

April 23, 2021: Stolpersteine are placed in Munich for Maximilian and Hermine. The placement is broadcast via Zoom to the far-flung Moritz family

August 24, 2025, Steve Moritz, grandson of Maximilian and Hermine, joined by his  wife Sarah, son Josh and daughter-in-law Carly, shines their Stolpersteine. 

The Moritz family and Terry Swartzberg pray Kaddish for Maximilian and Hermine, and for the 6 million Jews murdered in the Shoah.

We will never forget. Never. Not a single victim. 

As long as I breathe, I will do everything in my power to ensure that not a single victim is forgotten.
